Annotation:
Chlorpromazine hydrochloride belongs to a class of drugs known as antipsychotics. It shows phase separation. The clouding phenomena in chlorpromazine hydrochloride aqueous solutions in the presence and absence of additives of different nature was studied. Substances of various nature were used as additives: amino acids, surfactants, kosmotropic and chaotropic nonionic additives. It has been established that an increase in the concentration of some additives, in particular ornithine and arginine hydrochlorides, leads to an increase in the cloud point of chlorpromazine, while even in the case of small additives of aspartic acid and histidine hydrochloride, the clouding process of chlorpromazine is no longer observed at all. Studying the clouding process of chlorpromazine hydrochloride is important in drug delivery processes both in model systems and in living organisms.
