Water nanodroplets are very important nanoreactors for many reactions, especially oscillatory reactions. Study of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky oscillatory reaction is important because it allows us to understand the stable conduction of an impulse in the neuronal system. The purpose of the proposed work was to study the effect of various additives on the oscillation period and amplitude of Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction in the water droplets of water-in-oil microemulsions. It was observed that decane promotes acceleration of oscillation frequency more than hexane. It was also established that the oscillation period increases with decreasing concentration of sulfuric acid and potassium bromate, whereas a decrease of oscillation frequency takes place with increasing the content of perchloric acid in the sulfuric acid-perchloric acid mixture in the water droplets of reverse microemulsion. Furthermore, oscillation frequency is elevated or diminished in the presence of kosmotropic glucose and chaotropic urea additives respectively.
