Study of the structure of water nanodroplets in reverse microemulsions using molecular probe

Author: Mariami Kiknavelidze
Keywords: Reverse Micelle, Optical probe, Binding constant, Tyloxapol, Pluronic F127
Annotation:

Investigation of the microenvironment of reverse micelles by UV-visible spectrometry using optical probes provides a unique opportunity to study the properties of water aggregates located near the ionic headgroups of surfactant or ionic centers. The binding constants of a molecular probe of ortho-nitroaniline with reverse micelles of the anionic surfactant sodium diethylhexylsulfosuccinate (AOT) were determined in the presence of additives of nonionic polymeric surfactant pluronic F127 and tyloxapol in water droplets of reverse micelles.
