Annotation:
The presentation refers to the presence of a pair of metamorphic belts in the subduction zone. High low and moderate pressure types are separated. High-pressure metamorphic belts are located between the low-pressure belt and the ocean. The formation of metamorphic belts is associated with the submerger of the ocean floor under the arc of the islands and the periphery of the continents. The high-pressure metamorphic belt is characteristic of deep grooves, where the supply of heat flow is very high, and the low-pressure belt is developed in the area of the Islands arcs and the continental edge zone.At the top of the latter, a significant manifestation of andesite volcanism is observed and the influx of intense heat flow into the deep zones. The presence of a pair metamorphic girdle is discussed as an example of the Caucasus.
