Selected Issues in Probability Theory

The work discusses the traditional concepts of general probability theory: mathematical expectation of a random variable, variance and covariance, as well as such important objects for modern probabilistic and statistical research as conditional probability and conditional mathematical expectation with respect to an event and a random variable, Moment-generating function of a random variable and Laplace transform. The paper focuses on their fundamental properties and applications in probability theory.
