A living organism is affected by many different factors, one of which is ionizing radiation. It significantly changes the organism and produces a degenerate, same as mutated tissue. Despite this, ionizing radiation is widely used in medicine in the treatment of oncological diseases. The paper discusses the effect of ionizing radiation on a living organism, its positive and negative sides. Also, the use of different types of ionizing radiation in the fight against cancer diseases, including the android therapy method and its advantages compared to other methods.
